Located at the strait Strelasund, Stralsund is nowadays regarded as touristic centre, not only because of its old town, which belongs since 2002 to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Stralsund is also well known amongst sailing enthusiasts. Due to the location of the port, ships can not only be moored by, but really in the city. Furthermore, Stralsund invites every year to the Port Festival Stralsund, which attracts many visitors.
Our Ship Eldorado also calls at the port festival. We offer day and evening sails on the sheltered Strelasund. Sailing with the wind, we either head north towards the Gellenstrom, located on the west side of Hiddensee, or pass the Ziegelgraben bridge and sail southeastwards to the Greifswalder Bodden. On board the Ship Eldorado you can enjoy magnificent views of the island of Rügen and the Hanseatic City of Stralsund. Treat yourself afterwards to a trip to the Maritime Museum in the former Katharinen abbey or the Ozeaneum. We recommend visiting the Gorch Fock I, the former training vessel. Complete your day with a walk through the old town.
