The former fishing village Warnemünde is nowadays a modern seaside resort with the widest sand beach at the Baltic Sea. Warnemünde invites even twice a year to big maritime events. In July international sailing regattas take place during the Warnemünde Week and at the beginning of August the Hanse Sail Rostock welcomes you. Like every year, numerous Windjammers, tall ships and other sailing ships are expected. But even at other times many big ships, like cruise liners, ferries and cargo ships call at the port of Warnemünde.
During the sailing season, our Tall Ship Eldorado will be in Warnemünde several times. We offer day and evening sails. After leaving the passenger quay in Warnemünde we soon reach the open sea. Here we set sails and sail along the coast to Kühlungsborn and Heiligendamm. Due to the mostly western winds the Tall Ship Eldorado can cross the estuary of the River Warnow, with the Warnemünde pier to starboard, under full sail on her way back. Sails are not taken in until reaching the berth. We recommend a walk to the Alte Strom in Warnemünde, where numerous fishing boats offer their freshly caught fish. Only a few minutes away you can visit the Teapott, Warnemünde´s landmark, or the lighthouse. Bring the day to a close with a long walk at the beach.
